The Puppy and Pistachios
We had a bit of a sleep over tonight at the Venice apartment. Kris was baby sitting his little sister and his dad's new puppy tonight. After a solid hour of playing Wii Fit we started to get worried about the puppy. The poor thing had not eaten all day. We tried various types of foods to entice the guy into eating. He turned down doggy treats, turkey, bread, and even a piece of a hamburger. Not very typical for a puppy. In a last ditched effort I offered the guy some pistachios I was eating. He jumped for the chance to indulge. We were shocked. After about an hour of hand feeding him the nuts we started mixing them into his regular food. It worked. (well kind of) At least the pup won't starve tonight. God Bless the Pistachio nut.
The pinkie finger, Billy Ray, and Macho Man
Tonight I had an interesting workout at the gym. It started when some guy severed his pinkie finger by dropping a weight on it. The guy was bleeding everywhere. It was nuts. (the pistachio kind) The paramedics had to rush to the scene and carry the guy out on a stretcher. You would think that was the most entertaining episode of the night at the gym, but no it gets better. As I was streching I notice this old guy with a pony tail working out beside me. He was wearing baggy jeans, a tucked in button up long sleve collared shirt, a pocket protector with note pad and pens in the front pocket, golf shoes without the studs, and to top it all off he was wearing a knee brace/pad over his jeans. The man remember his knee pad, but no gym clothes. He reminded me of a cross between Billy Ray Cyrus and Macho Man Randy Savage.
